NASCAR driver Ryan Newman to sign copies of 'Pit Road Pets' at Talladega - STATESVILLE, NC Ryan Newman, driver of the #12 Penske Racing Alltel Dodge in the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series, will sign copies of the charity book Pit Road Pets: NASCAR Stars and Their Pets during the upcoming Talladega, AL race weekend. The book features first-person stories and intimate photographs of nearly 50 NASCAR celebrities and their pets including Newman, his wife Krissie and their four rescued dogs.The book signing will take place Saturday, October 6 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Meaty Bone tent in the Dove Ridge Campground directly across from Talladega Superspeedway. Newman will sign up to two copies of Pit Road Pets in addition to one other item per person during the autograph session. Tickets for the book signing will be distributed to the first 100 fans with a Pit Road Pets book at the Meaty Bone tent beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday, October 5.
